Réalisée par Alice Assouline, la légende de Vallonia reprend de manières décalée certains éléments communs aux récits populaires et particulièrement celui de l’enfermement aux références plastiques vastes (de John Bock au Projet Blair Witch ...). C'est l’histoire d’une jeune fille qui vit perchée dans une vieille tour de pierre. Le récit est la manière dont elle sublime son ennui en un délire délicieux mais aussi acide et grinçant.
Alice Assouline installe un univers sonore aux teintes drones et ambiantes sombres en diffusant différents sons enregistrés dans la nature puis transformés. L'artiste joue également de quelques instruments atypiques (boîte à tonnerre, lyre fabriquée maison...) et accompagne Jurictus à la voix (on pense à Diamanda Galàs et Junko Hiroshige).
Jurictus (dessinateur au Dernier Cri, galerie Arsenic) quant à lui crée une ambiance vocale aux influences black métal et dark folk (de Urfaust à Cloud en passant par Void ov voices).
Yokogaga rythme le set de manière lancinante et envoûtante avec divers instruments (tom bass, gong...).

La performance se joue costumée, dans une installation minimale qui rappelle les éléments et univers de la vidéo. La durée du ciné-concert est d'environ 30 minutes, vous trouverez également en pièce jointe de ce mail sa fiche technique.

Mouvie concert experimental (Dark Ambient Experimental)

Created by Alice Assouline, the legend of Vallonia takes some familiar aspects of the folk tales and popular stories, focusing upon self-confinement, and use them in such an offbeat way, through references going from John Bock to The Blair Witch Project, among others.
It is the story of a young girl living in an old stone tower and the way she turns her boredom into a disturbing but delightful frenzy.

Alice Assouline builds up a sonor universe made of buzzing drones and dark ambiances, scattering multitudes of modified field recordings through the place resulting in a total appropriation of the sound space. She also plays various instruments during the performance (thunder box and homemade wooden lyre) and use her shriek along with Jurictus (Think Diamanda Galàs or Junko Hiroshige).
Jurictus (French drawer from Le Dernier Cri & Galerie Arsenic) meanwhile creates a vocal atmosphere through a meandering spectrum of dark and black metal influences (such as Urfaust, Cloud or Void Ov Voices).
Yokogaga gives rhythm to the set in a stabbing and mesmerizing way with diverse instruments (tom bass, gong).

The Legend of Vallonia is perfomed costumed, with minimal installations to recall the elements and universe of the video. The duration of the ciné concert is about 30 minutes long. You can find the take sheet as an attached document with this mail.
